How to Backup and Recover Data configuration on Huawei OLT

I. Backup configuration by manually
Go to U2000 application => Administration => NE Software Management => NE Data Backup/Restoration

Select on NE node we want to backup or select all => click on Backup button

On the Backup To: we have 3 options
1. Backup To OSS Server mean store the backup file in U2000 server.
2. Backup To OSS Client mean we can brows to store in local machine.
3. Backup To Third-party xFTP server mean backup to FTP server.

Content Type we have two options:
1. Database: the backup file cannot be view as plan text (encryption).
2. Configuration File: the backup file is as plan text mean we can view, read as we display current-configuration in OLT.

In my example backup to OSS Server and Content Type is Database
Backup To: choose OSS Server => Content Type choose => Database => Start

After click on Start button then we can see the Operation Status wait till operation successful.

II. Backup configuration by policy and schedule
Go to Administration => NE Software Management => NE Backup Policy Management

Noted: we can use Default Policy but it all nodes added to it automatically ex:if we have OLT, ME, or SDH on one U2000 server then the default policy have those node. If we want isolate the backup schedule then create new policy by:
right click on the blank right side choose New Policy..

On NE Type: we can select Type of node we want to backup, NE version: we can choose which version we want to backup, then click Next button

On Policy Name: put any name we want, Backup Period: we can be customer Monthly, Weekly or Daily and which day we want.
On Period Save Policy we can set the period saving as schedule but should be before the backup period.

We can customize like Backup Type, Max Backup Num by click on Advanced Settings..

Backup Type: we have option to choose are Database, Configuration or All File Type
Destination: have no option with the schedule backup
Max Backup Num: is the number to store backup file. I limited 5 if I have more than 5 it will delete old file.

III. Recover/Restore configuration
Administration => NE Software Management => NE Data Backup/Restoration
